This policy explains what information the MedConnect Health website at www.medconnecthealth.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. The MedConnect EHR, the patient portal and our other applications are governed by the agreements and notices that apply to them, and no patient health information is collected or stored by this website.

Information you give us
Contact and demo requests. When you use the form on our Contact page we ask for your name, email address, phone number, practice or organization, and your message. That information is emailed to our team so we can respond to you. The website itself does not store it; it is delivered through Twilio SendGrid, an email service provider acting on our behalf, and then kept in our business email system for as long as we need it to handle your request and our relationship with you.
Signing in to the MedConnect EHR. The sign-in form on our EHR page sends your username, password and organization code to the MedConnect EHR over our private network so that it can sign you in. The website does not store these credentials. The EHR records each sign-in attempt, including the network address it came from, as part of its own security and audit controls. Your use of the EHR is governed by your organization's agreement with MedConnect Health.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Like most websites, our servers record each request: the network (IP) address it came from, the page requested, the date and time, the browser and device type, the page that referred you, and how the server responded. We use these records to keep the site secure, to troubleshoot problems and to plan capacity. They are kept for 365 days in our Microsoft Azure monitoring service and then deleted.
Location by network address. This website is intended for use in the United States. Each visitor's IP address is checked against a country database held on our own servers, and visits from outside the United States are declined. The lookup happens locally; your address is not sent to the database provider. The database is provided by DB-IP (db-ip.com) under a CC BY 4.0 license.
Abuse limits. We count requests per network address for a short time to limit automated misuse of the contact form and the EHR sign-in. These counts are held in memory only and are not kept.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets two cookies, both of which are necessary for it to work. Neither identifies you and neither is used for advertising:
- MCCSA keeps your visit on the same web server for its duration. It is set by our load balancer and expires when you close your browser.
- .AspNetCore.Antiforgery protects our forms from being submitted by another site on your behalf. It expires when you close your browser.
We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager and no tracking pixel, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell personal information.
Content from other companies
Some pages embed videos hosted by YouTube and load fonts from Google. When your browser fetches that content, Google receives your network address and may set its own cookies, as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Playing an embedded video is a choice you make on the page. These are the only requests this site makes to another company.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that operate this website for us: Microsoft Azure (hosting), Twilio SendGrid (delivery of contact-form emails) and Google (web fonts and embedded video only). Each may use the information only to provide its service. We will also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the security of our systems and the rights of our customers and users.
How we protect information
All traffic to this website is encrypted (HTTPS), and browsers are instructed to use HTTPS for a year after a visit. The website stores no personal information of its own: contact requests are emailed rather than kept, and sign-in credentials pass straight through to the EHR. The website runs separately from the systems that hold patient information.
Children
This website is for healthcare organizations and their staff. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to show, correct or delete the information you sent us through the contact form by writing to the address below. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over your personal information; requests under those laws can be made in the same way.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Material changes to how we use the information you have given us will be explained on this page.
